Thank you Darrell. I wasn't always a fan, but meeting you this year really changed my mind. It seems to me that you have made some very good changes in your lifestyle in the last year or so and I encourage you to keep that up. I know you will land on your feet.

I apologize for any cruel things I may have said about you.

Good luck on your future endeavors and thank you for the good times...not so much the bad times.

It took me a long time to warm to Coach Dickey...I didn't like him at all in the beginning. Like many, I'd all but given up on the man midway thru '01 before we had the remarkable streak. Listening to the Idaho game online and hearing us get that 1st Bowl bid from Wright Waters was one of the happiest moments of my life. Even thinking about it now makes me smile. smile.gif

That night I became a Dickey fan. Yes he lost way more than he won and it was definitely time for him to go. But he truly led us out of the wilderness for those 4 years. Because of my parents I've kept an eye on NT athletics for practically my entire life to some degree or another and Coach Dickey is the best Coach we've had in my time of following the program.

I wish Dickey nothing but the very best. It wouldn't surprise me at all to see him land on his feet somewhere as a coordinator and be even more successful next time he becomes a head Coach.

He gave us 4 Bowl games and 1 win, which was...what...more than double what we'd had in our entire history? Thanks for the memories Coach, I'll never forget you.
