how will DD's departure impact recruiting?

I'm concerned about recruiting. Will the current staff keep the job's that they are currently doing? Will high school players look at this move as an opportunity?

This move will have an impact on the recruiting front.

NT can't hire a coach until a month has gone by after the job announcement. Our current staff will be here for the rest of this season.

I would hope a new coach will be hired as soon as it is legal to allow him to start putting a staff together ASAP.

I believe it would be in the best interest of the new coach to retain Kenney Evans, our recruiting director to fill in the new coach , help in recruiting existing prospects and leading out on new prospects the new coaches have contact with, and possible even upgrade our recruiting two months from now to salvage this recruiting season.

I think a likely positive would be any new coaches coming in that could bring in the high school players they were recruiting at their prior school, which could enormously advantages to UNT!

Might want to tap the brakes a little. The best recruiter I have ever seen was Vic Trilli. I can't remember, how did that translate?

For the record, i think this is a good move; I just don't know how this is gonna go yet (replacing DD).

If I look at the Area Top 100 and none of them have us listed as a possibility, or only a couple, I would say this would definately help us. This is great news.
