....That low, deep rumbling you may have heard last night was the sound of 2,400 some odd women, and a couple of dudes, who after walking 60 miles that included sleeping in tiny 2-person tents, numerous visits to smelly porto potties and showering in 2x2 stalls over a 72 hour period to raise over $6.1 Million for breast cancer research, snoozing their asses off after finally getting in their own beds. biggrin.gif

At one point I woke up wondering if I had gone to bed with a hybernating Kodiak? It's amazing to see what a bunch of head-strong women will go through and what they can accomplish when they get an idea to help a cause?

Kudos goes out to The City of Forth Worth who unlike Dallas last year really rolled out the welcome mat for this year's 3 Day Breast Cancer walk.

I especially want to thank The University of North Texas Health Science Center for their sponsorship as well. While sitting in the numerous cheering stations and pit stops across the metroplex you see thousands of the walkers going by. Each day, like last year I proudly wore nothing but Mean Green attire. It was great to see how many of our alumni took part in this event and seeing them shoot the NT Eagle Talon and yell "GO MEAN GREEN" at me as they passed by.

Thank you to all who donated and participated in the event.

See you next year,

Rick
