Etheridge must go

I bitched and bitched about Dickey for so long but I've changed my mind. Every time we make a decent play for a first down it gets called back on an O-line penalty. Worst damn O-line I've ever seen. Lineberry is not all-conference worthy anymore. Etheridge sucked for army and was booted with the rest of the staff after a 0-13 season before Bobby Ross came in. Now he has succeeded in bringing our team to crap. He needs to quit writing "Coaching front liner" books until he knows what the hell he is talking about.

I like Applewhite, but no. We need a proven coach from a proven program. The Clemson OC, Rick Neuheisel, or someone like that.

Your setting your standards way too high. NT is not serious about winning , so I cant imagine us :

1) Making a change until the end of next year

2) Are not going to give anyone close to a million a year. Neuheisel got paid 3 million this year still from Colorado. He could take something better , this would be a step down. Any proven coach from any proven program would be at a hefty price ...at least heavy in NT eyes.

3) I feel like getting shitty drunk now

1 Game is not 9 years. Look at his pedigree and what he has done against ranked opponents. This guy is good. Yes he had an off game this week, but I think his offense is still ranked in the top 15 even after that.

Was thinking the samething. Everyone keeps shifting their focus on a different coach each week to place all the blame. Remember after the Akron game , everyone is calling for the STcoach. The MUTs , the DEF coach, RF has been focused on all year , last week it was Evans , the last few weeks the OLine coach. Bottom Line DD has say over all these coaches , Bottom Line NoOne is doing their job , Bottom Line THEY ALL NEED TO GO!!!

See what I mean UNT always goes after coaches from unsuccessful programs....

I disagree, I can't remember seeing one game all season where I could say, "man the O-line played well today."

It wasn't easy to see in the first 2 games because you wouldn't expect the O-line to dominate against Texas and Woody was so successfull running from the stangs that you didn't realize how bad they were. Tulsa and Akron were away games and its hard to see poor O-line play through a radio. MTSU was the next home game when I first starting complaining about Etheridge. The fact that he came directly from a program that went 0-13 and then got canned should be reason enough.

Bring back Spencer Leftwich. Tulsa looks like back to back CUSA champs right now.
