we were looking at what UTA actually did...get rid of football. But Fry was available and saved the day...and became a great coach in his 6 yearss here, and his last 2 teams at NT went 19-3.

Coach Dickey has been here way too long. Our program is in a tailspin, and what happens now.....can we find another Hayden Fry? The clock is ticking on whether we will survive to remain Division 1-A...or do we drop down to 1-AA, or lower...or do we just drop football and hope to build on basketball, track, golf, tennis, etc.

You may think I'm kidding here, but unless we make a change and find a talented new coach who will sell the university and pump up our football program, as well... then it could be "lights out" at Fouts Field...once and for all.

It wouldn't surprise me either. We can't afford another couple of years of ineptitude with NO progress toward the future building of this program. Better or more established programs can survive a decade or more with pitiful losing teams, but I don't think we have that luxury here at North Texas.
