Reporter : Hey Coach , you havent scored in 19 straight 1st quarters. Whats the problem there ?

Coach : Well we really dont want to set the expectations of the game too high ya know. If we score too early that really puts alot of pressure on us because then we will be expected to score in the 2nd , 3rd and even 4th quarter.

Reporter : Coach , some are saying you have only a few offensive plays. Whats your reaction.

Coach : A few ?? Well we have 5 plays , but off of those plays it can create several. You see if we call a pass play for a 2yd deep route vertical right ... If that guy is covered than our QB can scramble around and get hit tryin to go up the middle... you see the possibilties are endless... sometimes well throw over there just so the WR can shake the 3 guys that are covering him.

Reporter : The Defense is not anywhere close to what it use to be. Is it a loss of solid players or loss of coaches ? Or is it just a lack of talent or is it that they are on field too much ... I can keep going coach , but you get the idea..

Coach : Well we've put in a new strategy on tackling the last few years , but the players have still not adjusted. You see we dont like them tackling with 2 arms , could cause injuries. I mean hell didnt you see what happended to Roy Loren.. he broke is hand while trying to make a play. Our belief is that if you just lunge at them , maybe the opponent will get scared and fall down... also this makes someone breaking a hand or arm less likely to happen. I hope Roy's mistake will open the eyes to our Defense.

Reporter : How bout the Special teams coach ?

Coach : Special

Reporter : How's recruiting going so far ?

Coach : Well with all the adversity these kids will have to overcome in this horrible situation we have here at UNT , we are currently not recommending that anyone come here right now.
