With the conference real even and with us having a loss already, I am going to be rooting hard for FAU tonight on ESPN. By the way how does FAU get two home ESPN games in 2 years ? They havent done anything yet but they get 2 nationally televised games.

I will also be rooting for La Monroe this weekend to knock off MTSU..........We need to hope that TROy, MTSU and LA Laf lose as many as possible...........

I'll take a NO bowl bid no matter what, but I'd like to get it by MTSU losing 2 and Troy and LL losing to us (us winning out). Basically, I don't want to fall into it.

Actually I agree with you, 8-4 overall and 6-1 in conference looks a lot better than anything else but I would take 7-5 and 5-2 as well......................

I am ready for this weekend, I guess we will see what we are. Are we the team that played good and beat a good SMU team, are we the team that played very good defensively against Tulsa for a half, are we the team that came on strong against Akron or are we the team that got blew out at home against MTSU and got blew away the first quarter and second half against Akron and Tulsa....................Many questions still to answer...........I hope we come out with guns blazing and that our offensive line has somehow figured out some chemistry and can get our run game going............

You still have questions about this team? I am pretty sure things are answered for me after the result of the Tulsa, Akron, MTSU, and yes even the FIU game. I pretty much see what we have. We aren't winning the belt this year fellas. ASU, Troy, and La. La will be ahead of us when it is all said and done.

If I had to say right now, no I do not think we win the Belt and we may have a hard time winning another game but I think with what we did against SMU and the history of our program since we entered the Belt then I think there is still a chance that we could run the table, although real small chance...........I also know that some teams figure it out and finally start playing better and mature as the season goes. I also know that everyone of our Sun Belt games last year were close so I know we still have a chance.

Right now 2-10 is all we can be completely sure of.

I think we'll win about 3 more. One might be this weekend.

La Tech would be a nice win, and I really want to beat FAU. We can't fall to 0-3 against those mofos. That's just pathetic.

Whoever is on this board that really, honestly believes this team can win this conference, then has either had too much koolaid, they are living in a fantasy world, or has not watched any of the games since SMU.

Hope we win this week, but I won't be holding my breath.

GoMeanGreen 1999,

You may very well be right. The way we have played we may not win another game much less win conference. But please dont watch or listen to or go to anymore games since you already know the outcome.

The SMU game shows us - if that team takes the field, we could win out.

That team hasn't come out since and it looks like it aint happenin'. Of course i want them to do well... and I will still show my support. But, I have no confidence in this team to get the job done. I have much more confidence that we wont.

Love the name by the way.

I've got to root for La La because I don't think CUSA is going to have enough eligible teams to fill its bowl slots. If a Troy, ASU, ULL or MTSU are sitting there bowl eligible we might get an opportunity to showcase 2 teams in bowls come December - hopefully winning 1 or both of them.

The SBC is making strides and we must take advantage of this down CUSA year.

It's a stretch but I hope we win on Saturday! These gameplan games that I get to actually get to see are valuable! The last one was a dud.

Beat Arkie State!

It's becuase Shnelly is a good story and they reiterated that point all night during the game. He wanted to do something that some of the other great name coaches have never done: Start a program from scratch.

Tonight they talked extensively about the criticism's HS recieved for going on their nightmare of a schedule this year on the road to start the season. Stated that they earned $1.8 Million dollars that was needed to help their program but more importantly Shnelly was qouted as saying how important it is that if a team is to learn to play like a quality D1 program they needed to play quality D1 programs against Clemson, K State, Ok State and South Carolina. Overall HS see's these games as an opportunity to build a program rather than a chance to redicule it.

In the first part of the game they actually showed clips of their stadium back in the 70's when pro soccer teams were playing there in order to drive home the point how very little FAU has had to work with up to this point. When I saw that I couldn't help but feel the disbelief remembering that we are 0-2 against them, along with all the embarrassing remarks over the years from our camp about how "when our kids come to NT they know their backs are already up against the wall".

Even though you'll never hear them complain about it FAU, their coaches and their kids simply wish they had a wall to put their backs up against.
