Said DD had a mild heart attack, had a stint placed into his heart and hopes to be back towards the end of the season.

Rick

I believe that a stint is placed in one (or more) of the main arteries going into the heart to relieve blockage. My step-father had that proceedure after suffering a mild heart attack. Like Coach Dickey, he also suffered from diabetes.

I don't see how Coach Dickey can continue in the high stress job of being a head coach, with so many health concerns. No coaching job is worth risking your life over.

I'm very concerned for his long term health, and for the emotional well-being of his wife and daughter.

I wish Coach Dickey a full recovery.

Yes and no. The stent also helps protect the arteries after the surgery. Although much sympathy goes to DD for the angioplasty. Those things hurt like.... well, you know. I've had one and my father had a heart attack two weeks ago and had two stents put in. While it's pretty much routine in the U.S., it's not a terribly comfortable procedure and it's still a big deal when you have to do anything related to your heart. Thoughts and prayers to Coach Dickey and his family.
