One top Florida International official said the school would love to lure Butch Davis -- a friend of new AD Pete Garcia -- but that's a major long shot. We're told a return to the University of Miami does interest Davis.

It doesn't help to dream and it says alot about what the athletic director sees in this schools IMMEDIATE future.

Garcia also wants to return to Miami as AD in 2010 when their current AD leaves. He needed some actual AD job experience, so this (FIU) location was the perfect spot to intern until the opening at UM. He'll do what he can at FIU but his heart is really at UM.
