I only wish that RV had fired DD & RF last Monday morning, to show that the administration is committed do what is necessary to grow our football program.

RV had a chance to get rid of DD right after he was hired and he waited. Then DD pulled a miracle. He better not miss his chance this time.

The good news is that Rick is going to get re-energized by having the opportunity to bring in some fresh blood. You know RV has some thoughts and may be able to land the fish to help take NT into a new and improved era. That era begins a few short weeks and certainly some resumes are being updated as I type!

We were too far gone when we got beat by Tulsa and La Tech last Fall.

I just hope when the so-called "short list" of prospects for a new head football coach for UNT is put together that that list of names comes from the top shelf rather than the bottom shelf.

We can't afford to blow another head football coach's hiring in Denton and I defer (for the 100'th time) to any UNT football media guide that suggests we have done just that for about 2 1/2 decades now.

We must do the un-North Texas thing this next time around just like UTEP did the un-UTEP thing with Price and Idaho did their own un-Idaho thing with Erickson.
