moderator: John from Houston asks: What is the likelihood that Dickey will be fired/reassigned at the end of the year? If he is let go, who are the likely eplacements?

UNT beat writer Brett Vito: Dickey could be in trouble if he does not turn the corner pretty quick. There are a lot of coaches out there who might want a shot at UNT. Todd Dodge of Southlake Carroll would be a possibility, but I would not rule out one of the coordinators from Southern Miss. Rick Villarreal and half the athletic department's administration are from USM.

Southern Miss did a great job of exposing our achilles heel back in the New Orleans Bowl of 2004. We've been in a downward spiral since.

Why do people ask questions about whether UNT is still in the race for the Sun Belt title? Are you kidding me - have you watched this team. Mathmatically yea, I guess they might be, but athletically, NO. Then those two sports writers answer the questions like "yea, don't know if we can win the league with 2 losses like last year." Gosh we are soooooooooooo far off from being where we need to be to win this conference it is scary.
