Who counts the attendence ?

I dont know if this has been talked about yet. But was anyone else suprised that the attendence was only 16,900 ? I have been to games where the attendence was higher and there wasnt as many people there. I thought for sure it was around 19K. Both sides were almost full and people were in the end zones and on the deck.

I thought it was called about right.. I actually told the people next to me that I thought it was about 17,000.. There were lots of holes around.. especially on the student side and on the ends of the alumni side.

Looked like about 14K butts in seats. Lots of empty seats mixed in.

I thought I saw the entire alumni side full. It was sad to see almost all gone at halftime.

I don't know who counts them, but they actually count EVERYONE that is in those gates for the attendence, which correct me if I am wrong, but used to the NCAA would actually count the worker, band, media, ect.

It's a darn good thing that this week is Homecoming, otherwise, after last week's TRAIN WRECK, we might not reach 10k.

I dont believe the atendance numbers were accurate. We went outside at halftime for a "beverage" and our tickets were scanned out. When we went back in they were supposed to scan the tickets back in, but the guys there just waived everyone back in? No tickets were scanned, so the actual attendance was certainly off on the Alum side.

Well I noticed at least 2 gates open before the game with no ticket takers. One was the gate where the visitors normally come in and the other was a double wide gate outside the endzone seats where I guess the band had left their stuff?

It looked like the two middle parts of the stadium were pretty full but the endzones were vacent.

So 16000 sounds about right.

If both sides were full and the endzones were vacant then their were 20,000 there. The capacity prior to the erector set endzones being added was 20,000.
