There is a definite difference in JT's running now vs. his freshman year. I see a runner who has lost some initial quickness (or burst) once the ball is handed off to him. I also do not see him running (downhill) and giving it, and is instead. . . taking it.

If he runs with authority, he will wow you and give us 2-3 higlights a game.

For those of you who blame the O-line & R.F. for JT's poor production. I somewhat disagree.

1. The O-Line isn't opening holes. We don't have the O-Line of 2004 but more than that we don't have the center of 2004. This O-Line may not actually be as bad as they look because they are putting 9 in the box but they are still not one of our better O-Lines in the last 5 years.

2. J-Mo is/was running tenative. Granted I saw this change in the game last night as he got going, but even against SMU he wasn't hitting the holes like he did in 2004. He seemed to gain alot of confidence in last nights game and began hitting the holes like he knew they were there. Expect to see alot more production out of J-Mo from here on out due to people missing on initial contact.

3. Not many outside runs being called. Getting to the edge was J-Mo's bread and butter in 2004. Now the only time he gets to go out there is on the option. He needs to be given more chances to hit the edge and flat out out run the D. We know he can do it, unless DD is babying his hammy.
