Muzzy To Be Featured As Student Athlete Of The Week

DENTON (9/20/06) – Mean Green wide receiver Zach Muzzy has been named the CW33 Student-Athlete of the Week and will be featured tonight on CW33’s Sports at 9.

Muzzy, a senior business economics major, has been active and efficient in extracurricular activities including being named to the Dean’s List and President’s list multiple times during his time at North Texas. He also sits as a representative on the Student Athlete Advisory Committee.

He made the trip to Lake Buena Vista, Florida, in May to participate in the NCAA Leadership Conference. He was the first athlete selected to represent North Texas at this event.

Muzzy is in his fourth year on the Mean Green football squad, contributing as a receiver on offense and also on special teams. He currently leads the team with seven kick returns for 112 yards, with a long of 27 on the season.
