17.5 points? that's it! Hell, I thought it would be more than that.. were are #100 and something ranked offense... and after last week's miserable offensive output, I'd thought the spread would be more!

Looks like all of the Belt are dogs this weekend.

Would you put $5 on Middle Tenn?

No but I will put a nickel on UNT. I think we will cover!

I wonder how long it has been since Akorn was picked by 17.5 points over anyone. Doesn't show a lot of respect for us. If we can score 10-15 points I think we'll cover. Unfortunately, that's a big if.

Sadly I would bet on the Zips covering the spread, with our lack of offense and our soft zone defense on the pass, plus with the may 3 and outs the defense will once again tire after 40 minutes on the field.

Zips , last year's conference champs, return 16 starters including the all conference QB and a WR rated as the best athlete in the conference. Plus top rated recruiting class in the conference. They looked pretty stout on TV earlier this year.

Akron is riding a crest of nice recruits like many mid-majors do (remember UNT in 2002?). We've seen this with Toledo, Marshall, Bowling Green, etc. Tulsa is definitely riding a crest at this time as well. But inevitably, they will all have some down years in the coming future.

Given the first 3 weeks of the season, I'm not shocked that we're 17.5 point dogs to Akron.

Here's hoping that the OL line makes a 1000% progression between Tulsa and Akron...
