SO, Mattress Mac has a promotion that if you buy over $3000 worth of furniture and/or electronics and take possession before noon on Sunday and the Texans beat the Colts, it is free. According to the commercial.

That shows how much faith there is in the Texans. But, anything can happen on any given Sunday...

That promotion is very similar to one in Chicago. Except that one went terribly wrong.

I went to a Ft. Worth Cats game on Friday the 13th a few years ago. They had a promo that night, that if the Cats got 13 runs, they would draw a seat number and give $13K to a fan.

It happened. When they awarded the check to the winner, they announced that Cats ower Carl Bell, who made his fortune in the insurance business, had sold the Cats organization an insurance policy against that happening. Pretty funny.

BTW, the Cats just won their new league. Go Cats!
