The Sunbelt really doesn't need this. All the positives we got from last week go out the window with a loss here.

Yeah, but this is a rivalry game so TT is really fired up most likely. I think I read on the MT board that this is an old rival.

It was an ugly first half. Having seen the previous coach lose the last few games we had played 1aa team, it was an uncomfortable first half and half time for MT fans. Unlike the last few times under the previous staff, this coaching staff apparently put a boot up the ass of the MT players and they came out of halftime moving like the field behind them was on fire.

TN Tech is MT's old rival from the pre-1a days. Long ago the game was played on Thanksgiving and used to be the last game of the regular season. There have been fights between the two schools' various sports teams. Older fans from both schools have feelings that are just as intense as Auburn and Alabama fans have for each other. The feelings aren't there with the current students.

Tech and MT players don't remember the rivalry, but the tech players are for the most part local kids (the schools are 90 miles apart) and feel they could have played for MT.

Glad to get this game behind us. You have no idea how glad.

Coach Stockstill is off to a decent start.
