I would like to announce the creation of MeanGreenNews.com.

This is a subscription service that will be run by John Denver and I. Over time, we'll have other writers produce content also, including Matt.

I'll post photos and information, much like I did in the old Mean Green Report, if you have any questions please contact me via PM, or send me an email at robles@meangreennews.com.

Right now, 4 months of coverage is $20, after that we will move to a monthly subscription model.

I also want to make sure that every understands a couple things:

First, Harry is not involved with MeanGreenNews.com, so please don't email him any questions, he is busy making podcasts. wink.gif

Second, I am still going to be just as involved with GoMeanGreen.com, and in fact, we'll being doing the board upgrade this Wednesday. Keep your fingers crossed! smile.gif

I re-subscribed to MGR about 4 months ago.  Will any of that subscription roll over, or is everythign from a clean slate?

You think that guy is their DB coach or Strength and Conditioning?  laugh.gif

Funny you say that, one of the major complaints on the pony boards was that thier team was out conditioned by us.

Anyone who has sat through one the 14,000 play scrimmages knows if anything, we have a pretty well conditioned team.

The Mean Green Report is not going away and I intend to keep on updating it with recruiting news, database etc. My latest interest is in podcasts and I plan on keeping those available through the meangreen report as well. I've decided to move away from the subscription model. I still want to have some control over who reads my info (especially recruiting) so if you want access to the podcasts or mean green report info I only ask that you send me a PM and introduce yourself, give me some info ie are you a fan, when you graduated or are you the player of a parent etc.

Mean Green News is a subscription service. The two guys that are running mean green news are good guys and friends of mine. They have both helped me and continue to help me on GOMEANGREEN.COM and I truly appreciate all of their efforts. They are moving forward with a subscription based model and I wish them nothing but the best. It is however a different site and I am not affiliated with it. They own the domain, the content and everything that has to do with that site. I will continue to run and maintain Gomeangreen.com and the Meangreenreport. The Barbershop is something new that I have really enjoyed doing and I hope you are enjoying as well.

The bottomline is there is more information available for Mean Green Fans then ever before and that is a good thing in my opinion. I think that Mean Green Premium is a nice product and I expect that Mean Green News will provide a nice service as well. I think the podcasts are the future, and plan on continuing to work on that medium. The choice of what you want is really up to you. Having choices is a good thing. There was a time when I started this site (I'm dating myself) that there wasn't even an official website for athletics. That tells you how far we have come.

And what about the Recruiting database?  Will it roll over too?  Or disappear forever?

I wrote the code for recruiting DB on the MGR, and I will probably implement a similiar feature on MeanGreenNews.com when recruiting season rolls around.

The old software still works on the MGR, but I dont know if harry is going to continue to use that, or just podcast his recruiting info.
