It's hard to gauge just how good/bad this team is going to be. I think SMU is going to be a benchmark of how good we are. Judging on last years performances they are arguably our easiest OOC opponent but a little better than the belt.

7-5 I say ...

1st time in a few years that I walked away from the early "money" game with some positives.

We scored as many or more points (against UT) than FIU, MTSU, ULL, FAU. The only other team you can look at is Ark St. and they scored 14 against Army. After that the other games do not count since they played 1AA.

We lost something like 4 conf. games by 3 points last year, and the D looks much better than the 3 points per game differences from last year. Also the QB situation is better. Overall I think we have things to be excited about, but the game vs. SMU will tell us much more. Hard to gage against UT.

4-12? blink.gif

I was about to say we don't play 16 games even witht he bowl game.

Wouldn't even happen if we were D1-AA. Never make the playoffs with that bad a record.

5-7...really only 2 for sure wins (SMU & FAU) and 2 definite losses (UT & Tulsa). All of the conference games along with La. Tech & Akron are toss-ups to me. I got NT losing all their away games accounting for 7 total losses.
