I disagree. Downtown Dallas is booming and if they renovate Fair Park it could do good business. I would be interested to see RV's position if we were offered to play a team in this venue.

If everything goes through as planned, it will definitely not be way too little. It is too late to get the Cowboys but it's already saved the Red River Shootout and could make the Cotton Bowl one of the BCS bowls.

When this project and the Trinity River Park with its spectacular bridges are completed, Dallas should become one of the top tourist areas in the country.

I have doubts that RV would want to play there but he might rnder a couple of circumstances. A major, nationally-recognized opponent (Notre Dame, LSU, to name a couple) or a Metroplex series championship with SMU and TCU, neither of which is likely to happen.

I agree that this is something that should have been done WAY long ago. Yes, it is good that they are doing something with it. But think, they could have had so much more had they done this awhile back. i.e. the Arlington Cowboys.

Whoa, better tap the brakes there buddy. Dallas, a tourist destination? Not until they move in some mountains or a beach and drop the average temperature about 20 degrees.

Watch as the Cotton Bowl game and the UO/TU game will both move to Arlington when the new "optional enclosed" Cowboy's stadium is finished. The Dallas City Council sat on the pot too long to snag the new place and the current Cotton Bowl will soon end up like Legion Field in Birmingham, neglected.
