I listened to the Podcast's last night at the firehall, trying to avoid the heat while emmitt did his best to keep Dallas' brightest from the gutters. As I listened I was very impressed with Harry, Matt and Evan and how professional they all sounded. Especially the way Evan keeps it rolling in between topics. You guys missed your callings I think. Anyhow, it is great to hear your voices. It truly gets the Mean Green spirit up hearing all the talk of the upcoming season. One tU alumn who has season tickets was in the office when I uploaded the convo. Once he heard what I was listening too he took notice and seemed impressed as well that NT has an alumni program like that online. Overall I think it gives the program the appearance that it's making another step up and shows how dedicated our fanbase is.

One note on the discussion:

It was mentioned that one of our QB's got chewed on because he wasn't getting the sign in from the sideline and was told "you won't be able to hear us talk to you in Austin due to the crowd" or something to that fact? My question is, why are we not using the great sound system inside Fouts to simulate the noise at DKR? Corky always did this, linning the sidelines with large speakers and having the opponents fight song, such as OU's Boomer Sooner blared throughtout game situational scrimmages? Now we have a system that is already built in in the Mean Green Jumbo Tron. Why are we not utilizing that?

We are still taking suggestions on what people want to hear in the coming weeks. We plan to do reviews of the past week's game as well as a preview of the next opponent. We will also do a rundown on the conference standings.

As things progress and especially during offweeks we plan on doing a few guest segments as well as interviews.

The next installment will probably be out on Sept 6th. After that we hope to have them out on Mondays or Tuesdays.

Oh, and as far as our jumbotron, it was on, but it had that same "North Texas" screeensaver up for the whole scrimmage. The refs were practicing, and the sunbelt officials were practicing play reviews. It looks like they made a booth out of the far south end of one of the add on suites on the home side. I'm not sure, but that might be where the reviews were coming from. The speaker set up would have been helpful....It will be loud in Austin!!!
