Looks like he just made the NFL..... maybe or maybe not at NE but somewhere.... If they don't keep him he could be traded (they are hurting for receivers now) or picked up if he is cut....

---It would not surprise me to see Kevin Faulk traded and Cobbs kept.. he is 7 years younger. No doubt he would cheaper on the salary cap as well. ...

Final stats:

ATT YDS TD LG

P. Cobbs 13 92 2 36

K. Faulk 6 38 0 16

H. Evans 8 16 1 7

C. Dillon 5 12 0 3

L. Maroney 4 12 1 5

M. Cassel 2 0 0 1

A couple things to look at...

1) Heath Evans, who Cobbs is in competition with, played several plays with the first team who played into the third qtr.

2) Cobbs came in on the same play that the #2 QB, Cassell, came in on.

3) Cobbs received more carries than any other RB on the Pats roster tonight.

biggrin.gif Run Pat Run!!!! laugh.gif U make us proud!!! biggrin.gif

It is awesome having UNT represented in the NFL. Not only by Cobbs, but the others out there busting their hump and getting paid to do what they love!

Here is the picture you want to blow up of Cobbs and make a poster out of.

And the postgame blurb about Cobbs.

PATRICK COBBS

Undrafted rookie Patrick Cobbs led all Patriots rushers with 13 carries for 92 yards (7.1 avg) and two touchdowns against the Redskins. He tore off a game-long 36-yard run in the fourth quarter and also added a 24-yard scamper in the final period. He had a pair of 1-yard touchdown plunges in the fourth quarter to provide the Patriots with their final 41-0 margin of victory.
