Bomar said to be near decision on transfer

NORMAN, Okla. (AP) _ The father of former Oklahoma quarterback Rhett Bomar says Bomar will decide within a few days where he'll continue his college football career.

Jerry Bomar says his son is still considering whether to go to a Division One-A or Division One-Double-A school. He says Houston and Sam Houston State are among five schools under consideration.

He declined to identify the other three schools.

Bomar and offensive lineman J-D Quinn were kicked off the O-U team earlier this month after a school investigation found they were paid for hours they didn't work at a Norman car dealership.

My .02.... He is a good quarterback, but does our desire to win outweigh our character, and the upstanding reputation of our athletics department?

with peterson at OU, is their offense closer to Houston's or NT's though? I realize they may pass the ball more than we do here, but it's not exactly as wide open as it was with Mangino there is it?

Whatever happens, I'm sure the opportunity to play in the Sunbelt gives us a HUGE chance here!!
