AUSTIN - University of Texas Longhorns, listen up: Bleed orange all you like, but just do so politely.

One day after claiming the ignominious title as the nation's No. 1 party school, UT launched an unrelated campaign urging sports fans to play nice.

The concept of the "Texas Fans Make Us Proud" initiative is to make that statement a fact and not just a plea, said Jim Boon, executive director of Texas Exes, the alumni group leading the charge.

Which horn fans are they referring to?  The true longhorn fans or just the ones that show up while they are on a winning streak?

Rick

in my experience, the former are generally gracious winners and losers, while the latter are usually Texas State students or bandwagoners who never went to college.

and including the middle finger...which means "F UT."

Notre Dame did that on National TV before one of the Cotten Bowl games in the 70's.
