I was in Albertson's doing the grocery shopping (I can be trained laugh.gif ) and noticed that they had 15" LCD tv's for $200. So I bought one. My idea is to play PS2 and watch the day's games on Saturdays during the season. Now, here's the question. How do I manage to get reception in the Fouts parking lot? Anybody with experience in cheap and reliable antennae, just the local channels?

I am sure you can pick up some kind of anttena at radio shack. For a little extra money find a buddy with sat TV and get a tripod and put the dish out there. You would have it all. Just a thought.

I would get a powered antenna and run it off an inverter in the car. It will pick up Dallas signals very nicely.

For those that buy a small HD TV with tuner the HD signal is perfect.

Really? Did your shopping list include a "15" LCD TV? rolleyes.gif

Geezz Emmitt, most people's "impulse buys" at grocery stores include such things as the latest chip/snack food and/or flavor of ice cream. wink.gif

I bet your wife doesn't send you back to the store any time soon. rolleyes.gif

Cable is a black hole in Denton.  DirectTV or Dish is the only way to go!  biggrin.gif

This would be my suggestion as well. Of course, your talking a bit more money but since your impulse buying...

BEAT THE HELL OUT OF TEXAS!!!!!!!!!!

Antenna works well if you are right off 35. The signals travel well ... so with the powered antenna, there isn't a problem.

I'll be using a DirecTV dish on a tripod. (with the expanded sports package)!!!!

FYI- I've already checked the schedule and on Sept 9th ESPN's CollegeGameDay comes on at 9:00am. I'm thinking I'll be watching Herbstret, Fowler, and Corso in the Fouts Field parking lot followed by a day's worth of games and tailgating!
