DMN Bomar's dad contacts NT about sons future

You are kind of right. The way it works is a kid is either released from his ship or not. If he is not released from his ship, he would come here this year and pay his own way. After one school year, he would be automatically released from his ship whether OU like it or not and would be eligible for play in 2007. He would basically be a walk-on with the team for this year but since he has to sit out a year (IA transferring rules), then he would really have the choice of whether he played, practices, or even talked to the football team until next summer (I would hope that he would take advantage of the time to get to know our players and "system")... Jason Miller did this when he went to OSU. We refused to release him from his ship, he went anyways - paid his own way for one year while sitting out... and the next year he was put on full scholarship and was able to play. Either way, Bomar will have to sit out (the minimum) of a year.... maybe more if the NCAA decides to tack more onto it. The only thing that OU can control is if they release him or not. If he is not released, he can't take a scholarship from another school for one year. Plain and simple. So Bomar would have to pay for one year at NT - I am sure that his parents can figure out a way to put that together, just like every other family in America has to - IF HE REALLY WANTS TO BE HERE... we will see.

No self respecting program would touch him.... I don't even want to win that much.. he is no kid, he knows better, and thinks rules are made for other people just as that wonderful Ohio State (Maurice Clarette) did a few years ago.

We see where that fine citizen is today....arrested again today... what a man!!!!

Many said no "self respecting" program would touch Mike Price. UTEP gave him a chance and they passed us by so fast were still spinning. blink.gifblink.gif

The NCAA doesn’t sanction a school because the coach used school credit cards to buy himself an “evening with a lady.” Now, if he buy said even for a recruit or athlete, that’s a different story!
