Nonconference schedules.

Some Division I-A teams really took advantage of the addition of a 12th game to their schedules. Alabama plays Louisiana-Monroe, Duke and Florida International. Auburn has Arkansas State, Tulane and Buffalo. South Carolina faces Middle Tennessee, Florida Atlantic and the mighty Terriers of Wofford. Virginia Tech plays I-AA Northeastern, Cincinnati and Kent State. Maryland goes on the ledge with I-AA William & Mary, Middle Tennessee and Florida International.

DD is lamenting our strength of schedule while any other D-1 coach would be doing handsprings. If players believed they could win, 11-1 would be a possibility, but with staff's attitude 4-8 is reality. If you want to feel sorry for someone just look at the rest of the SBC's OOC schedule.

I think FIU may take Duke.

Dukies were 1-10 last year. Now much better can they be?

That could be a "good" win since somehow Duke got a top 25 vote. blink.gif

Did we ever find out who was giving us our "mystery" vote in the Coaches' Poll in 2002-2003 ? I remember some thought it was DD, some thought another SBC coach, I thought it was one of our OOC opponent coaches hoping to boost their SoS for the BCS poll.
