Our stolen base numbers are really good, too. I think Rylie Nicholson is 10-11 in SBs.
When I saw Maddie Conley last year....I figured with her size....she was heir apparent at 1b to Gamble. And maybe that is still the plan....when Kailyn Bearpaw leaves. But they had her in the outfield....y'day. She doesn't have the atypical OF body.......but she runs well for her size.
I think our season hinges on Skylar.....if she can become a true ace.....I think we'll go far. Love this team....so fun to watch.
This passes and is per sport, will kill Texas Teams in Tennis for sure where they are not able to get Blue Chip Recruits.
Believe MS does this already at their JUCO's and they are not competitive at all.
You keep saying this stuff about knowing more about the PAC bla bla. The new pac will have the following teams with their current NET rankings:
Gonzaga #10
Utah State #33
Boise State #46
San Diego State #49
Colorado State #62
Oregon State #79
Washington State #107
Fresno State #280
You can deny all you want and cry about media deals until you run out of tears but that is a 4 bid conference which means half the teams would be getting in the tournament. Add in a #59 North Texas and almost every road game is a Quad 1 game, something we're severely lacking in the AAC.
Regarding playing on ESPN2, that's not a criteria set forth by the committee so I really don't care what channel we're on. Currently, many Mountain West games are broadcast for free on their phone app yet they're set for another 3-4 bids this year.
We have a chance to elevate our Brand this season, at least in basketball, with more National media. We won on ESPN-U yesterday. Our next 3 games are all on evening ESPN-2 (Thu, Mon, Thu).
As for the PAC, more will be known about their situation when they get a confirmed media deal. They have been working on it for 3 months already I read. Other additions to the PAC from G5 won't produce additional added-value revenue per school a source said. They are looking at 2 more football programs (all sports?) to make 9 in football.
I imagine whatever studies they have they do remotely and stay out in Florida. The team should be staying out there. Same as when East Coast teams will get us and UTSA or Rice in the same trip.
What I'm curious about is why couldn't the men/women fly together when they both played in Memphis the first weekend of the new year? Having each other's support at the other's game would have been awesome. Same with Tulane when both of their men's/women's teams came to Denton earlier this month.
