CUSA and MWC starting to pull away

Check out the early football recruiting info at ESPN. The MWC and CUSA are blowing away the rest of the non-BCS leagues. Even the WAC isn't recruiting worth a damn so far. The MAC is doing a little better than the WAC or Sun Belt but still way behind the MWC and CUSA. The WAC has just completely fallen to the basement. If this turns out to be a long term trend rather than a temporary aberration then the future for the WAC, MAC, and Sun Belt looks bleak.

I think we're starting to see the top two non-BCS leagues flexing their muscles. They have better facilities, larger fan bases, bigger budgets, more tv, more bowls, etc... The Sun Belt has always sucked but at least in the past the WAC and MAC were keeping even with the MWC and CUSA. Basically what this tells me is that now that the dust has settled from the 2003-2004 re-alignment the MWC and CUSA came off it in much better shape than the rest of their non-BCS counterparts. Another thing that is striking is how much worse off the recruiting for the Big East has gotten. Prior to the re-alignment they were recruiting more like the other BCS leagues. Now they are barely beating out the top non-BCS leagues and there is a gap between them and the more elite BCS conferences.
