He looks good. Too bad he has to play out of position against such big inside players. But like you, I like what I have seen so far.

Not sure what you can tell from this game other than a 6'5 190 guard is no match for a 6'11 325 center. It did look like Mangrum has a good outside shoot and is a descent passer. Wish he would have had a chance to play his natural position. He does look more like a shooting guard than a point.

It wasn't in the paper *Telegram this morning but if I remember correctly he scored 8 points...thought he looked good. He was the point guard when he was in the game, playing against some really top players.

He has some physical development to do in his upper body. He is not really a point guard but he can pass the ball around a little. I would redshirt him and give him another year to grow and mature. I think he is a guy that can help us down the road but probably not right away.

Not to be Contrarian Man, but basketball players hardly ever redshirt. I don't anticipate that happening. Not to say I don't agree with you. I'd seriously consider it if he shows up on campus unable to compete physically because of lack of strength.

I just think his better days are ahead of him. You can just tell with some of these kids that an extra year in the weight room will make a difference. Your right about basketball not redshirting much tho...
