---Some coaching poll systems (especially HS district or conference polls) have the coaches rank every team but their own team (ie opponents) and compile the list. That probably gets the best overall results and may be what they did. In national polls, coaches do vote for their own teams.

I don't recall right off, but didn't we get dissed like that in 2001 when we won the first conference title?

That was so sweet. Sort of an "IN YOUR FACE" type response.
