Incoming University of North Texas freshmen Sami Vance of Weatherford, Ashley Vickery of Dallas and Caitlin Woltje of Sugar Land let out a cheer for their group, the Green Glories, during a spirit competition on Thursday at the UNT Lyceum. The Green Glories won the spirit competition, part of the second day of freshman orientation for a group of 475 new students. Eight UNT orientation sessions are planned for this summer.

I see as many orange and pink "University of North Texas" t-shirts as I do green. Why is this so hard for us ?

I dont have a problem with pink. My daughter has a pink NT shirt and likes it because it IS pink.

She wears it all the time.

Pink is fine because it doesnt assocaite with any other university, and girls look good in pink.

Blue, Red, Orange, Moron...no.

I dont really care what color their shirts are, Im just glad to see people getting excited about NT. I didnt see any of that during my freshman orientation- and that was in '99. We've come a long way in 7 years, its good to see it coming along so quickly.

Down at A&M they prefer to call it Maroon.......but in their case, Moron would work for me. rolleyes.gif
