South padre island

I know this is not football related, sorry! But could someone please recommend a nice place to stay in south padre that is not too expensive? And maybe some places to eat. thanks:)

I stayed at La Copa 2 summers ago. Nothing special, but it was cheap and new at the time. Killer beach access, and free beer at happy hour.

I thought everything was expensive so I did not bother to ask or look around this time! Nice area will stay longer the next time.

I drove all the way from Jonesboro, Arkansas, snatched my Granddaughter and headed back the next day. Would have stayed longer but my daughter-in-law let me fish off this little pier behind her house and I caught a fish, laid it on the pier and that fish walked to the edge of the pier and jumped into the water. Back to Arkansas for me!

If ya want to stay on the beach, I recommend Aquarius Condo and rent from Serivce 24 or Coldwell Banker at sirentals.com Value price condos, million dollar views. Make sure you look at the Beach Condos only. Nice hot tub and pool. I have stayed there for years. Again, older...good value.
