Doug Ray was sports information director and asst. ad in the 80's and 90's. He is now an executive with Texas Special Olympics in Dallas.

???

IMHO, he was very inept as SID. He once showed up at a NT/SMU pre-game event wearing SMU colors. I know that he was an SMU graduate, but NORTH TEXAS was paying his salary at the time.

Of course, it isn't unusual for current AD staff to show up to North Texas events wearing just about any color BUT North Texas colors. dry.gif

SE beat me to it. I always thought it odd he would wear SMU's colors at games against them instead of our colors? I'm curious GB, what's the recent interest in Doug Ray by the way?

He was a neighbor of mine for about 4 years when I lived at Londonderry Oaks apartments. We became friends but I lost contact when I moved from Denton in 92.
