I heard the Go-Tee refered to as a "New Mullet" today. is this true? do I have a mullet on my face?? you may ask "why is this in the football forum" A: because I am a football fan and I may look like a Nascar fan. I need to know. until today I was wholly unaware that my face might be the punchline to a redneck joke. please tell me

I think a goatee is ok as long as it is not braided or decorated with any sort of beads. Also if it is so frazzled that a bird could live in it, you are also probably in violation of anti-mullet protocol.

The goatee may be on the way out, but it will NEVER achieve mullet status. The bearer of a mullet is his own breed.

I like my goatee ... it makes me look older ... as a 27-year-old ... I don't need high school girls thinking I'm dating material.

Besides, mine is well maintained. You'll see no handle bars or locks from me.

Keep it. Who cares if some early 20-something thinks it is outdated. What do you think? Besides, all things are cyclical. If it does go out, it will come back. Things always do. And when it does, you'll be ahead of the curve.

And with a chin like mine, I am given few options in that area. I have to keep it.

As for the goatee, chinless dudes shouldn't go without one, whether it's going out of style or not. It's better than a moustache.... only Burt Reynolds and Tom Selleck have a license for that.
