Very good... He has an opportunity.... New England situation at RB is not impossible. Dillon is aging and their draft choice (Maroney) will is the one that will replace him, in the next two years. Maroney at the moment will boot Evens off the roster who was huge and almost not used. K.Faulk will be tough to dislodge but they have a RB (Pass) who is not a lot larger than can be displaced.

There are worse places to be since New England doesn't seem to adverse to using small backs who can also catch the ball. K.Faulk is listed at 5'8" and Pass at 5"10 which is the likely one to go if Patrick can impress them..... Good luck. Lot of it is luck and sometime the injuries that show up... Dillon is no cinch after his injuries last year.

Yahoo has a list of player they have.. (last year plus draft picks)

CONFIRMATION via Denton Record-Chronical

UNT's Cobbs invited to Patriots' rookie camp

Former UNT running back Patrick Cobbs will be attending the New England Patriots' rookie minicamp, a UNT official said Friday. Cobbs finished at UNT with 4,050 yards and won the 2003 national rushing title with an average of 152.7 yards a game.

I got it from the website

Rookie Camp is not contractual binding - for many it is a try-out for a contract. This is by no means even a guarantee he will even be in training camp - Lets hope that he shows them something in this short 2-3 try-out

The Pats are looking for one extra RB to bring into camp. They've invited 3 to the rookie FA tryout. Patrick will be competing against a RB from Holy Cross and a RB from New Hampshire. They are different types of backs than PC. They are bigger 6ft 215lbs and 5'11" 220lbs.

Here's hoping Patrick puts on a show!
