I've noticed since the draft there have been no posts or anything about Cobbs, Baz, or any of our other seniors going to the NFL. Is it possible that the former national rushing champ won't even get invited to a rookie camp? Anyone know any information?

Just keep checking various NFL team sites, as those are the sites that show undrafted free agent signings.

I thought someone posted that Baz was trying out for the Cowboys.

Too bad they already signed Vanderjak.  dry.gif

Yeah, I can't believe they are going with the most accurate kicker in NFL history rather than an undrafted FA rookie that doesn't kick off!

FYI - E-bone.

The Cowboys invited the unsigned FA Rookie Baz because just as with all other teams, they are still interested in knowing the talent that is available. Because FA Rookie Baz did not kick off for UNT does not mean he cannot kickoff.

I believe I remember reading recently an article in which Nick himself talked about how hard it was to kick off. Maybe I'm mistaken.

Nope, Vanderjagt doesn't kick off.  Remember the Colts even brought in the well traveled golden foot of Jose Cortez last season for kickoffs.

No, I think Cortez (once being booted from the 'Boys) went to Seattle.

I wish my mom would stick up for me here.

Ever since my Dad disowned me and she did nothing things have been rocky...

Did Baz get a chance with the Cowboys? Noticed in the DMN they had a list of signed Rookie FA's and invited Rookies, saw the SMU Kicker but no Baz, hopefully the paper is wrong. Best of luck to the guys no matter what.

ebone, your a jackass

hahaha! how so??

Nick was great at NT and I hope he can get a shot with a team in the NFL, but some people on this board need to get a clue and realize that Nick has no shot of getting on board with the Cowboys. If he was a kickoff specialist, then he might have had a shot.

In case you were weren't watching last year the Cowboys went through I think 3 kickers? All it takes is an injury and he might be called in...and from the reports coming out of Valley Ranch he kicked very well...
