Dallas Hillcrest Panthers 1955. We had a big rivalry with South Oak Cliff since both schools were entering the Dallas City schools in athletics. I'll bet GGII remembers this rivalry!

Clear skies, no traffic, friendly people. I've only lived out here for a little while, and will probably move back north sometime soon, but I can see why people love it out here.

State Champs '56, '63, '64, '99

The 63 & 64 championships were courtesy of Chuck Curtis. Who won a state championship the year before at Jacksboro.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think that any other coach has done this.

While I was born and raised in Dallas, TX and have lived here all but 4 years of my life, I graduated from Irvine High in Irvine, CA in 1986.

My husband graduated from San Angelo Central High in 1984.

Random Thought.....

I believe the city of Weatherford has a festival called The Peach Festival or something like that.

It's the Parker County Peach Fesitival and Peach Pedal Bike Ride, although I've suggested before that they change the name to the Parker County Sweat Festival as that is all it seems you do when you attend. Funny thing about this event is that often times most of the peaches and peach products that are sold come from other places such as California, not Parker County, especially when the seasonal crop is poor due to a lack of rain or whatever. If you ever do attend this event the Peach Tea is a must try.
