North Texas Baseball

Our (MT) baseball coach was on a local drivetime radio show recently, and said he understands that North Texas baseball is a "done deal" per some meeting with conference officials in the past few months.

He says that NT will be playing by the 2008 season.

Is this correct? Or did I mis-understand?

Actually it is correct. I've heard from a most reliable source that we'd have baseball within 2 years.

Like the I said about the "funded by the Denton Outlaws" baseball stadium that was mentioned........I will believe it when I see it.

Well thats true with anything in UNT athletics..... Let me amend that...Let's just say we're PLANNING on baseball within 2 years.

from sources i have that are close with the outlaws, the deal between the outlaws and UNT fell through. so, i wonder whats other dissapointments are on ahead?

The Denton Outlaw deal never made any sense considering how or why a TCL team that makes very little to no profit to go out and raise one to two million dollars for a stadium

Maybe the AD and the rest of the Athletics Department and for that matter University as a whole are taking the DD approach of ignoring the F****** out supporting the school.

Of course I think LJ probably has a hand in the recent stagnation of Athletics here.
