Point guard not returning as Trojan next season

(KILLEEN-TEMPLE NOTE)<^

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) _ Arkansas-Little Rock point guard Zack Wright won't return to the team for his senior year.

That's according to Arkansas-Little Rock men's basketball coach Steve Shields. He says he and Wright ``mutually agreed'' that it would be in his and Little Rock's best interest for him to seek another place to play.

Wright's originally from Killeen, Texas, and has a year of college-sports eligibility remaining. He has the option of transferring to a Division Two school and playing immediately or sitting out a year before he can play for a Division One program.

Wright averaged 12-point-two points, five rebounds, five-point-nine assists and two-point-four steals a game last season.

That's rough. He only has one more year left. Not sure if he is "NBA material." If he is it might be worth sitting a year and playing the next season if he has enough eligibility. If he isn’t on his way to the NBA, then it really doesn’t matter what he does.
