Can You Say "Out-Of-Conference Wins"

Recommended Posts

Folks, this is not a laughing matter.

For this to happen...preparation (gameplans) will have to meet opportunity.

to open the season:

September 2nd @ Texas Longhorns

September 9th-Home opener vs SMU Mustangs at Fouts Field

Other out of conference games:

@ Tulsa Golden Hurricane (we played 'em close last year, only losing 2-54).

Home vs Louisiana Tech (we played 'em close last year, only losing 14-40).

@ Akron Zips in Akron's Rubber bowl. Has a nice ring to it.

What are your thoughts.

Go! Mean Green!!!!!

I think you have it right on the La Tech game and the Tulsa game. We were just a couple of plays here, a couple of plays there from winning both of those games. People just forget how close that Tulsa game really was. It's not every day that you get a great gameplan as our coaches had for that one. Now, we won't have the home field advantage (which usually gives you 7 points) but with the year of experience that our players gained from the close games, we should be fine.

And to think I was actually laughing as I left the Tulsa game about how bad of an idea it was for Tulsa to line up 9 in the box....what a stupid idea that was....bet they don't make that same mistake this year!

Do I detect a hint of sarcasm?
