hey im doing a research project for one of my classes. we are polling other Sun Belt schools to try and see which of our 40 different logos are the most recognizable outside our university. your response would be greatly appreciated. please disregard the survey on top and complete the one underneath this message. thanks again.

To be honest, unless I see a U-La-La or a ULM, I never know what UL is ...

That should have been an option on your survey.

Since the legislature hasn't seen fit to give you a flagship designation, I think that you should apply for another name change. Maybe you should be called Acadiana University. That way, it avoids confusion and shortens the name to fit most marquees. Then the fleur-de-lis would be especially appropriate. It would also tie the school name and the 'Ragin Cajuns' nickname together even more.

One other thought. I'd rather see one large fleur-de-lis (similar to the New Orleans Saints) than the three that were used about ten years ago.

Has that ever been discussed?

Hope this helps your research. Totally sucks ass that the NCAA is cracking down on the "Native American" mascot names.

We'll get ours. Next will be the "Endangered Species" mascots, then trees, then animals in general. Pretty soon we will be like the English Football (soccer) league where it is just the name of the team with no mascots.

For the record, I did the survey, then looked up the helmet in The Helmet Project. It does shwo the Ragin' Cajun's" on the helmet.

Can't post the picture of the helmet because it will only last a few days before it drops.

And it is ULM that has to change mascots. (that is directed at the NCAA and not ULM)
