A few clarifications.  THERE IS NO FIELD SOBRIETY TEST NECESSARY.  Also, DECENT LEGISLATION IS NOT MADE BY KNEE JERK REACTIONS TO THE BEST OR WORST IMPLEMENTATIONS OF THE LAW.  But, if you must be angry, understand how your rage handicaps decent law enforcement officials.

Here is my clarification with what I have a problem with.

- A field sobriety test SHOULD be Necessary.

- This IS NOT decent legislation.

- NOT a knee jerk reaction.

- I am NOT worried about decent law enforcement officials, it is the INdecent ones that I am worried about.

field tests or right to a breathalizer are necessary. this is america. somebody tell that to these out of control factions such as the tabc or nationally the fcc. if you can't be drunk in a bar, why do we have a designated driver campaign or program.

The simple problem is MADD is out of control, they don't know where to stop and they manipulate the truth to prove their points.

They will soon have the legal blood alcohol percentage to .02 and a 200 pound man could drink a half a beer and be legally drunk. The punishment laws their lobbyist have forced through the Federal and state congresses are so far out of whack it is sad. The punishment so far beyond fitting the crime it now bordering on insane.

I heard on KLUV the other morning that alcohol use in high schools over the last 25 years is down like 50% but drug use is up 700%. I think I would rather have my kids drinking, than doing drugs but thats just me. (I was trying to find the article they quoted but struck out so my numbers may be off but that is what I believe they said.)

I want to form DAMM, Drunks Against Madd Mothers.
