Congrats to Northwestern State.

Ten players, including seven seniors, average more than ten minutes per game for this extreme up-tempo one on one style team.

This is not your typical under-sized Southland team. Nortwestern State may not be that tall, but they have several big, strong wide-bodies. Byron Allen (6-7 275)would not look out of place on a Big East roster. The leading scorer is is a 6-7 guard named Clifton Lee. He reminds me of Tyrus Wade of last year's Lousiana U. Sun Belt tournament champion team.

Like most mid to low majors Northwestern State played several (3) non-division 1 out of conference opponents, but they also took on some of the big and rich schools on the road and scored wins at Mississippi St, Oklahoma St and Oregon St.

Good luck vs West Virginia.

Below is the complete OOC record:

East Texas Baptist W 77-74 -- --

at Missouri L 72-81 -- --

at Mississippi St. W 76-75 -- --

at Centenary W 76-74 -- --

at Wichita St. L 55-57 -- --

at Oklahoma St. W 68-64 -- --

Harding W 89-61 -- --

LSU-Shreveport W 92-82 -- --

at Oregon St. W 72-61 -- --

Iowa St. L 77-81 -- --

at Hawaii L 76-80 -- --

at Texas A&M L 61-73

So if Northwestern St. (out of the Southland conference) can do this, why can't JJ?
