All this is true, but I'll still follow the Rangers. Even when I said I wouldn't, I did. I didn't go to the games, but I did follow them on t.v.

Cuba has a lot of MLB caliber talent...I wouldn't hold it against them that they don't play for an MLB team, I understand there may be political factors involved.

Thank you for making my point.  I'll enjoy watching some of the best baseball of the year tonight when Cuba takes on Japan in the championship game in which there are only two MLB players between the two of them. 

P.S.  Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe Korea finished the tournament 7-1 without comitting a single error?

I would assume that most of it is unoticed and unrecruited talent just because of logistics purposes. I look for that to change quickly with the WBC. Oh, and they make good money to play ball in Japan, and they're superstars over there too.

Anyone else seen the security guards with AK's in the dugouts of Cuba? Think they wanna defect to come play ball in America?

I will say that some of the best baseball I've ever seen has been in the playoffs the past few years. This one game stuff doesn't do anything for me.

Well, I'll just sit out here in Phoenix where we have eight spring training teams playing. It's fun to sit out in the grass areas in Center Field and drink a little something.

The baseball season is so long that individual games aren't really that critical.. The Rangers are putting up a fight for now, while the "points don't count."
