I spoke with Andrews' father two days ago and he asked me to let everyone know that he and Andrews' family are very moved by the efforts of the Mean Green Nation here at GMG.com by honoring Andrew by establishing a scholarship in his name. He frequents the board when he can and appreciates everyones efforts in putting on the charity flag football game as well as those who have purchased the covers to raise the money. He said they too will again have their football camp at Bay City High School this year in Andrews' honor which will raise money to offer 4 kids scholarships of $500 each to help out with school next fall.

Andrew will always be a part of the Mean Green family. It doesn't change in death ...

Every year I will participate in the scholarship drive.

      Are other team eyeing Coach Hodge?

      All depends on what your definition of move-worthy programs is, there will be plenty that will be looking at what he has accomplished at NT. I guarantee you, he is on a lot of programs radar. You don't believe that other schools aren't interested in a coach that keeps having to replace most of the starting five every year and still wins plus 20 and has difficulty even scheduling games because no one wants to play his team. He may not have the name that impresses perennial top 25 teams, but that only leaves about 300 teams that would seriously consider him as their next HC. Unfortunately about 150 of those teams can pay more and have a lot more fan and financial support. I don't even think his slow down defensive oriented play is going to be that big of problem. Colleges want to win more than play a more favored brand of basketball consisting of more scoring and uptempo offenses. There are AD's out there that are going to wonder what he can do with copious NIL money and a school that actually supports basketball.

      Info courtesy of @MCMLXXX on the Conference ReAlignment forum... St. Marys appears very close to being added for basketball. Texas St. listed as "all but done" and UNT now listed as "possible" along with UTSA in this updated PAC expansion video.

      Cal Baptist & Utah Valley to Big West

      It was Dixie State Univ in Utah until the name change in 2022. Dixie State University changed its name to Utah Tech University on July 1, 2022. The name change was intended to distance the university from the Confederacy and the term "Dixie".

      Texas State to PAC 12

      He mentions Texas is an important area for several reasons and implies more than one school. St. Marys offers another great basketball program along with Gonzaga. This may get interesting as we're in the "possible" category now along with UTSA....

      2025 UNT Football Schedule

      What are these marketing/sales teams you speak of????? Do they actually exist? Has anyone really seen or heard from them? They should all be re-assigned to getting students out to games! As for the schedule itself, we got a break with no Memphis or Tulane this year. 6 very winnable games (Lamar, W. Mich, S. Ala, Charlotte, Rice, Temple) 3 moderate games (USF, UTSA, UAB) 3 tough games (Wash St, Army, Navy)
