He really busted onto the scene this year. I agree this is a great pickup. That touchdown in the bowl game where he stretched his arms out was phenomenal. -

I assume we will see more young guys jumping in the portal soon with all of these transfers. Especially on the receiving side. -

When we recruited him two years ago, the plan was to develop young high school players and recruit from Texas high school. But after we went 5-7 and 6-6, the next two seasons, the thinking has changed win now mentality so that’s why we are going out and getting so many older transfer guys. You can see the two years ago we brought in over 20 something high school recruits and I think in this last signing period This year we may have signed 10. -

I thought it odd he wasn't the backup during the season. Why did we recruit him if that was the case? Did UNT coaches not evaluate him correctly or did he regress after? Fans rarely hear the players or coaches side of these situations either.- 1

How will Andrew feel when he learns that a kid hit the portal? "We should disconnect from him. He simply ran away. We need to stop normalizing selfishness. It’s destroying college sports. I will never change my mind on this. Ever. I don’t care who it is or what team it happens to. It needs to stop. One transfer and no NIL. Needs to be fixed ASAP."
