Looks like another dissapointment for the Mean Green on the golf course. After yesterday, they were in 11th place out of 13 teams at the All-American Golf Classic . What's the deal? They even had a guy shoot a dang 71 and they still can't keep pace...

It is hard to compete when two of your top five shoot snowman. They are not playing very well right now. It seems that they cannot get everyone playing good at the same time.

I agre ntsumck.

Look for a kid named Dustin Thompson coming in next year. Kid has a plus 1 handicap and regularly shoots par. Good luck to him.

It will be good to see a near scratch golfer in the fold. We've had a few but usually only one or two on any team.

I was here in the January era when we won four NCAA championships. Those are the only NCAA championships that North Texas has ever won in spite of having some great track teams. Since Jimmy Powell in 1959, we've only put two or three on the pro tour.

according to my nifty UNT calender, we have won 4 NCAA titles in golf. good thing we quit taking care of that golf course that we bought last year. it would be hard to win another with somewhere to practice.

The golf team has a new indoor hitting facility and putting green with video equipment. They are currently working on the putting green, old 18 green, holes #8 and #9 to make them playable. This will give them the opportunity to work on all facets of the game without having to travel.

This will help with recruiting and should make them much more competitive. There is no excuse not to have a very competitive team with the high school talent around this area.
