UNT men fall to Denver

DENVER – Yemi Nicholson had 30 points, 15 rebounds and three blocked shots to lead Denver to a 79-73 win over North Texas in the Pioneers' last regular season home game Saturday.

North Texas (13-12, 5-8 Sun Belt) led 68-66 after Kendrick Davis made a 3-pointer with 4:05 left. Brett Seger answered with his own 3-pointer to spark a 13-5 run for Denver to end the game.

The victory assured Denver (15-12, 7-6) its third straight winning season.

DaShawn Walker scored 20 points for Denver, and Seger finished with 10.

Davis led the Mean Green with 20 points and Calvin Watson had 19. Isaac Hines finished with 11 rebounds and six points.

The lead changed hands 15 times in the game. Denver led 39-38 at halftime
