UNT men rout UT-Pan American

UNT posted its largest margin of victory over a Division I opponent in its home finale at the Super Pit, with a 84-45 defeat of UT-Pan American. The previous mark was 38 points set in a 119-81 win over Nevada in the 1998-99 season.

Senior center Jeffrey Simpson led four Mean Green players who finished in double figures with 14 points. Fellow senior Isaac Hines added 13 points in his last home game as UNT's starting point guard.

The Mean Green (13-11) opened the game on a 22-4 run and built its largest lead at 74-25 with 12:09 left in the second half on Kendrick Davis layup. Colin Lien scored 16 points to lead UTPA (7-20).
